Which Newsmaker is the Most Out of Touch With Reality ?

Each of these people have made a name for themselves. While anyone of them could be judged for their behavior, they all appear to be disconnected from how they appear to the rest of us. Having said that, I’m curious who you believe is the MOST out of touch with reality. It may seem simple, but I believe you will find it’s a closer race than it first appears.

Misunderstanding Dr. Drew?

To many, Dr. Drew’s response to the question about what he would do if Lindsey Lohan was his daughter sounded outrageous. He indicated he’d pack her car with illegal substances, send her on her way and call the police.  As a professional who has worked with addiction psychiatrists, his idea sounds pretty tame. Despite Lohan’s claim that he is a quack, his response suggests the urgency he would feel if he was her father to get her intensive help.

My problem, however is the ethical quandary his responses put him in. On one hand, he is a well-regarded board certified addictions psychiatrist. On the other hand, he is one of the most well-known modern-day psychiatrist. He is a media superstar. Didn’t have a show called, “Celebrity Rehab?” One doesn’t have to be very cynical to wonder what it would mean to his star power to help Lindsey Lohan recover.  So is it possible his response was an attempt  or could be interpreted as an effort to get her into rehab with him or at least on a few episodes of “Celebrity Rehab?” What do you think?
